. . . to all and sundry who have fallen through the rabbit hole and landed here, at my page . . .
I am Suzie Andres, a Catholic wife, and the mother of two sons. My husband and I met at Thomas Aquinas College, married in California after our first year of grad school at Notre Dame, and eventually lived in Virginia for 14 years while Tony taught at Christendom College. Now we live in sunny Southern California, where he teaches at our alma mater and I fit in writing between driving our younger son to activities, walking the poodle, and perusing the libraries and bookstores of Ventura County. Tony and I are secular (3rd Order) Carmelites, so add in our feeble attempts at prayer, and the result is a full and happy life!
I've assembled this website to bring together in one place links to the books and articles I've written, as well as to offer booklists that will help you find other delightful treasures. And because I love to write (and crave an outlet lest I explode from too many untyped words piling up inside me), I've decided to add a blog here as well. It's called Miss Marcel's Musingsand you can access it by clicking on Miss Marcel's Musings right here.
Why a blog? Not to get rich (does that happen?) or get a show on Food Network (ha! my family knows I can't talk and cook at the same time, so that is a closed door; not to mention I can't read and cook at the same time, and I would much rather read), but because since I've had the good fortune to meet St. Thérèse's spiritual little brother, Servant of God Marcel Van, I've wanted a way to tell the whole world about him. It's always a pleasure for me to write, and to write about the Saints is the greatest pleasure of all! I hope this site provides a pleasant place for you to read, and to that end, I'm praying that God leads you from this page to the place where He has some special words just for you.
