Behold, I am doing something new! Now it springs forth, do you not perceive it?
—Isaiah 43:19
Welcome to my website! I’m Suzie Andres, a Catholic wife, mother, and author who lives and writes in sunny Southern California. My goal in writing is to spread St. Thérèse of Lisieux’s message of God’s infinite love for us. My hope and prayer, in union with the Little Flower’s, is that Our Lord will show you His love so that you might love Him freely and joyfully in return, like she did, love for Love.
Over the years I’ve written several books, and you’ll find them all here on the Books page, together with links to where you can buy them. You’ll also find on this site links to articles I’ve written, interviews I’ve given, and some favorite prayers, as well as book lists with recommended reads for all ages.
Finally, you’ll find my blog “Miss Marcel’s Musings,” where I write about St. Thérèse and her little spiritual brother, the Vietnamese Servant of God Marcel Van, who spent a lot of time in conversation with Thérèse, the Blessed Mother, and Jesus Himself. His Conversationsare a joy, and I find them such an endless source of wonder and encouragement that I return to them constantly and love to share them with the world.
And He who sits on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” And He said to me: “Write, for these words are most faithful and true.”
—Revelation 21:5
In 2016, reading St. Thérèse’s Act of Oblation to Merciful Love, I discovered a line she writes asking Jesus to remain within her as in a tabernacle. After several years, the result of much thought, prayer, and research is the book Something New with St. Thérèse: Her Eucharistic Miracle, in which our sister invites us to share the astonishing grace of asking Jesus to remain within us in His Real Presence between our Holy Communions. Of all my books, this is the one I most highly recommend because of its life changing power. St. Thérèse promised that she would spend her heaven doing good on earth, and she has been quite busy fulfilling this promise. May she shower her roses upon you and yours, drawing you ever closer to Jesus, our Love!
